The conference was held in a combination of live and online formats to more than 3,200 locations with 27,000 union members and youth participating.
The project implementation period is from July 27, 2025 to July 27, 2026 and is divided into 4 main stages: Celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (August and September 2025); Celebrating the 81st anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 2025); Celebrating the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 2026); Celebrating the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 2026).
According to the Standing Committee member of the Central Youth Union, Deputy Head of the Youth Union Working Committee Nguyen Thai An, the project implementation includes 3 programs. The first is to build the campaign "Memories live forever", including meeting and recording historical stories; building documents to guide interviews and filming witnesses. Along with that is "Propaganda, spreading "Stories of the Fire and Flower Time", deployed synchronously through many creative forms, applying technology and digital platforms. At the same time, building the information portal "Stories of the Fire and Flower Time" so that each story is closer to young people and the community...
Speaking at the program, Secretary of the Central Youth Union, Chairman of the Central Council of the Young Pioneers Nguyen Pham Duy Trang expressed: Those who have contributed to the cause, historical witnesses are getting older day by day. Each fading memory, each story that is not told in time is a part of the nation's vivid history that will be forever forgotten. Therefore, the mission of the project "Stories of the Fire Age" is for each member and young person to become a historian of the digital age, using enthusiasm, intelligence and technology to keep the sacred flame of the past alive forever.
Emphasizing that this is an urgent task, Secretary of the Central Youth Union Nguyen Pham Duy Trang suggested that Youth Union chapters at all levels should not only stop at reviewing, making lists, approaching and listening to historical witnesses, but also expand the audience. Stories come not only from Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and veterans, but also from their own children and grandchildren - those who grew up in families rich in tradition, carrying within them the stories of previous generations.
Comrade Nguyen Pham Duy Trang called on young people to turn heroic memories into modern media stories, creating an explosive media campaign on social media platforms such as TikTok, YouTube... The journey "Stories of the Fire and Flower Time" is not only a mission, but also an honor, a way for the young generation to express their deepest gratitude to the generations of fathers and brothers who sacrificed their blood for today's independence.
Within the framework of the program, the Conference will provide training on the process and methods of approaching and exploiting historical witnesses; Instructions on how to use and post stories on the Project's website.
