U23 Vietnam completed the mission to reach the final.

Speaking after the match, coach Hoang Anh Tuan said he felt very happy to have achieved his goal of reaching the finals.

Besides, the strategist from Khanh Hoa also highly appreciated the attacking ability of U23 Vietnam in this match.

“I am happy with the way we reached the final. Before the tournament started, I told the players the target was to reach the final and today we did it.

We have analyzed the opponent. In 1v1 or 2v2 confrontations, U23 Malaysia did not compete well, U23 Vietnam players always won.

The U23 Malaysia defense was not strong enough to stop us. Today, my players showed good form. U23 Vietnam attacked strongly," said Mr. Tuan.

Despite the impressive victory over U23 Malaysia, coach Hoang Anh Tuan still expressed dissatisfaction with player Dinh Duy when he received a yellow card.

“Dinh Duy is a player without much experience. I watched him at Da Nang Club, I think Dinh Duy does not have enough playing time.

I told him not to make mistakes. However, he made a mistake and received a yellow card in a very simple situation. But it's okay, the young player made a mistake and will improve in the final match on August 26," said coach Hoang Anh Tuan.

The "captain" of U23 Vietnam revealed that he will have calculations for the final match but that work will be for tomorrow.

U23 Vietnam's opponent in the final match of the 2023 Southeast Asian U23 tournament will be the winner of the match between Thailand and Indonesia.
