In the early morning of July 14, Jannik Sinner came from behind to defeat Carlos Alcaraz with a score of 3-1 (4-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4) in the men's singles final of Wimbledon 2025.

The Spanish tennis player is in extremely good form as he enters the final match of the tournament. At the same time, playing on his favorite grass court, where he has won two consecutive championships (2023 and 2024), makes fans even more hopeful.

Alcaraz had an impressive start with powerful shots that helped him win the first set. However, in the following sets, he showed many moments of lack of composure and made many mistakes, leading to the final defeat.

Most notably, his poor serving ability makes fans feel bored.

Weaknesses of Alcaraz lies in his serve. Despite hitting 15 aces, the Spaniard only hit 53% of his first serves. That's down significantly from the 65% he hit in his semi-final against Taylor Fritz and well below Sinner's 62% today.

He struggled even more on his second serve, winning just 51 percent of his second-serve points, compared to Sinner's 60 percent. The 22-year-old also made seven double faults to Sinner's two.

Take advantage of that, Sinner used his serves as a powerful weapon as the match drew to a close and both players began to tire.

Obviously, in top matches, this weakness of Alcaraz is difficult to accept. He needs to improve immediately if he wants to reap more success in the future.

Sinner's victory was a perfect revenge for his loss to the Spaniard in the Roland Garros final last month, and also denied Alcaraz a third consecutive Wimbledon title.

After the match, Alcaraz could not hide his sadness: "It's difficult to accept defeat, especially in the final, but I have to congratulate Sinner. He deserved to win today."
