On the evening of December 22, the live show Que Huong by singer Vu Thang Loi took place in Hanoi . A beloved singer of revolutionary and homeland music, Vu Thang Loi surprised the audience when he sang the song Ai cung co ngay xua by young musician Phan Manh Quynh in his music night.

Sharing about this, singer Vu Thang Loi said that when preparing for the live show, director Cao Trung Hieu "challenged" him to sing a pop song. He decided to accept this challenge and find the song.

Finally, he found a song by Phan Manh Quynh, who is also from Nghe An with him. Vu Thang Loi said that he felt like he found himself again with many memories in the song Ai cung co ngay xua .

"I also had a childhood of catching crabs and fish. I remember when I was little, every time there was a flood, I would invite my father to go to the pond to cast a net. Even though my father was old, he still loved his children very much, going with them to cast a net to catch fish... Those simple, warm, and affectionate childhood memories are memories that I will never forget," the male singer shared.

The music night brought the audience back to the beautiful memories of childhood, with their father, with their mother, by the gentle rivers but also bearing deep historical marks and values.

Through music, Vu Thang Loi led the audience to experience cultural and musical spaces stretching across the countryside from the North, through the Central region to his homeland in the South.

From the main vocalist to guest singers Anh Tho, Bui Le Man, Nguyen Ha, all sang songs associated with rivers stretching from North to South, such as Khuc hat song song song of the homeland, Dong song que anh, dong song que em, Hon song, Tim em cau vi song Lam, Neo doi ben que...

Selecting and editing the songs for the live show, with more than 2/3 of the songs about rivers, Vu Thang Loi hopes that the rivers will continue to flow, and will also be the cool streams that nourish the souls of every Vietnamese person, nurturing their childhood until adulthood.

"Every year I always try to bring to the audience valuable music products, honoring Vietnamese music and art.

I hope that every time the anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22) comes, the audience, friends and colleagues will come to listen to Vu Thang Loi tell stories about his homeland, country, and Uncle Ho's soldiers through music," the male singer expressed.
