At the ceremony, delegates respectfully offered flowers, incense, and observed a moment of silence to commemorate the heroes, martyrs, and people who bravely fought and sacrificed to protect the secret of the C41B ship, contributing to the great victory of the Spring of 1975.

The unnumbered ship, codenamed C41, belongs to the 759th Sea Transport Group, established by the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense in 1961.

In December 1964, ship C41 organized the transportation of weapons to the battlefield of Zone 5. On the night of November 9, 1966, ship C41 carrying 59 tons of weapons left K20 wharf, Hai Phong province for Quang Ngai, the landing point was An Tho beach, Pho An commune. On the night of November 27 and early morning of November 28, 1966, when arriving at the landing point, ship C41 had released 2/3 of the cargo when it was discovered by an American warship.

The delegation of Naval Region 3 and local government leaders took souvenir photos at the monument of the unnumbered ship docking point in Pho An commune, Duc Pho town.

The Party Committee, the Party cell and Captain Ho Dac Thanh decided to have the sailors swim to shore and then destroy the ship to keep the location of the cargo drop secret and not let the ship fall into enemy hands. Everyone was ordered to retreat to shore, Captain Ho Dac Thanh and Chief Engineer Phan Nhan stayed behind to light the explosives and then retreat.

However, the explosive failed to explode. Two other sailors swam back to the ship to check, and at that moment, the explosive exploded, killing two sailors and four guerrillas.

To mark the above event, on August 2, 2016, the Unnumbered Ship Docking Point (C41) at An Tho beach, Pho An commune was recognized by the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province as a provincial historical relic.
