Thanh Thuy Commune requests the Street Music Night Organizing Committee to refund and apologize to the people.

After the Street Music Night event held on the evening of July 28, the People's Committee of Thanh Thuy Commune received feedback on the performance time and performance fee collection from participating units. Immediately after that, the local government stepped in to verify, clarify, request refunds and publicly apologize to the organizations and individuals.

Thanh Thuy commune leaders worked with the Street Music Night Organizing Committee after the event received many complaints from the people.

The music night was organized by the Organizing Committee of “Street Music Night” in collaboration with Thanh Thuy Agricultural Tourism Cooperative. The event attracted a large number of local people and tourists, with the participation of clubs and dance groups inside and outside Thanh Thuy commune.

However, after the event ended, Thanh Thuy Commune People's Committee received a number of comments regarding the arrangement of performance time and especially the collection of money from the performing units. Thanh Thuy Commune People's Committee affirmed that there was no direction or policy on collecting money from the performances of clubs and dance groups.

To clarify the matter, the Commune People's Committee directed the Department of Culture - Society and Thanh Thuy Agricultural Tourism Cooperative to urgently verify the incident. As a result, the event organizers were required to immediately refund all collected money (if any) on July 29. At the same time, the event organizers had to publicly apologize to the affected organizations and individuals.

Regarding the duration and number of performances, the Organizing Committee said that due to the hot weather and budget constraints, some performances had to be adjusted to fit the original script. The Organizing Committee sincerely apologized to all clubs, dance groups, residents and visitors for the inconvenience caused. This incident once again demonstrated the need to strictly manage cultural activities, ensuring the legitimate rights of residents and participating units.
