Yen Son Commune proactively responds to storm No. 3

Leaders of Yen Son commune inspected and directed the prevention and control of storm No. 3 at Lien Chung floodplain, Yen Son commune.

Accordingly, to proactively respond and minimize damage caused by the storm, the Chairman of the Commune People's Committee requested the Commune Civil Defense - Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue Command to closely monitor the developments of storm WIPHA and immediately implement the following contents: Deploying shock forces to inspect and review residential areas along the Da River, streams, low-lying areas at risk of flooding, flash floods, landslides, and proactively clear the flow of blocked and obstructed areas.

Mobilize local forces with the motto "4 on-site", encourage people to take measures to protect property, brace houses, evacuate people in dangerous areas to safety. Cut down trees at risk of falling, remove poles, reinforce ties, weld corrugated iron roofs, insert sandbags to secure roofs, reinforce livestock barns...

Heads of residential areas notify each household living in areas at risk of landslides and flash floods to check and review their surroundings to promptly detect unusual and dangerous signs so that they can proactively evacuate from dangerous areas. Announce on the area's loudspeakers about the developments of storms and floods so that people can proactively respond and minimize damage caused by storms.

Prepare plans to organize forces to guard, control, support, and guide traffic safety for people and vehicles, especially at culverts, spillways, deep flooded areas, fast-flowing water areas, areas where landslides have occurred or are at risk of landslides. Resolutely do not allow people and vehicles to pass if safety is not ensured; arrange forces, materials, and means to overcome incidents, ensure smooth traffic on main roads when landslides occur, and guide traffic flow to ensure safety and convenience.

Organize a 24/7 on-duty team to promptly grasp the damage situation and have response measures, prepare forces and means to organize rescue work when damage occurs.
