On June 27, Lam Dong Provincial Police initiated a criminal case of "Intentionally disclosing state secrets; Appropriating state secrets" under Clause 2, Article 337 of the 2015 Penal Code (amended and supplemented in 2017) against NPTS (born in 2007, residing in Lam Ha district).
The incident occurred at the exam site of Thang Long High School (Lam Ha district, Lam Dong province) during the Literature exam, High School Graduation Exam 2025.

According to the initial investigation, candidate NPTS (born in 2007, residing in Lam Ha district) secretly brought high-tech equipment including a mini camera and wireless headphones into the exam room. After about 15 minutes of distributing the exam papers, this candidate used a button camera to directly record the exam papers and sent them out via the LookCam application to BTQ (another student sitting at the internet cafe).
After receiving the exam video , BTQ used an artificial intelligence tool (ChatGPT) to solve and read the answers back via Messenger call. However, the cheating was promptly detected by the supervisor, and all devices were confiscated on the spot.
Immediately after receiving the report, Lam Dong Provincial Police deployed forces to urgently verify. Initial results showed that there were no signs that the exam questions had been spread on social networks or leaked to other organizations or individuals.

Immediately afterwards, Colonel Truong Minh Duong - Director of Lam Dong Provincial Police Department directed the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention and Control and the Department of Internal Political Security to closely coordinate, complete the file, and transfer the case to the Investigation Security Agency for handling according to authority.
The police agency affirmed that the subjects' actions seriously violated the national exam, affecting the confidentiality of the exam questions (listed as State secrets). The prosecution of the case is necessary to ensure deterrence and maintain strict exam discipline.
Currently, Lam Dong Provincial Police are investigating and verifying related acts to strictly handle them according to the provisions of law.
