According to the report of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, up to now, the landfill material mines proposed by the investor have basically been licensed by the province, only 3 locations are being considered for submission to the Provincial People's Committee for licensing. In general, the source of landfill materials meets the needs of key projects.

For construction stone, the Provincial People's Committee has allocated according to the needs of 3 key project investors in the area, including: Long Thanh International Airport Project Management Board with 4.3/4.9 million m³; Project Management Board 85 with more than 690 thousand m³; Dong Nai Province Construction Investment Project Management Board with more than 1 million m³.

According to reports from the above investors, from now until the end of the year, the total demand for stone for key projects in the province is more than 4.1 million m³. Of which, Long Thanh Airport Project needs nearly 3.6 million m³; Component 2 of Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway needs more than 109 thousand m³; Ring Road 3 - Ho Chi Minh City (section through Dong Nai) and Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway Component 2 need more than 410 thousand m³.

Currently, the Department of Agriculture and Environment is focusing on resolving legal problems related to land, investment, project transfer, adjusting mining licenses, handling administrative violations, etc. for mine owners.

Regarding the 50% increase in mining capacity according to Resolution No. 168/NQ-CP dated June 11, 2025 of the Government, after review, 14 mines are operating and qualified and have proposed to apply. If approved, from now until the end of the year, these mines can provide an additional 5.2 million m³ of stone, enough to promptly meet the key projects of the province and the Southern region.

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang requested the Department of Agriculture and Environment to coordinate with project management boards to direct contractors to report specifically on the types, progress and demand for construction stone, as a basis for effective allocation to the mines. On that basis, the province will consider adjusting and supplementing the allocation results, ensuring adequate and timely supply of stone for the projects.

The Provincial People's Committee also assigned departments, branches and localities to continue supporting mines in completing legal procedures related to investment certificates, land recovery, compensation, site clearance, land lease, handling of administrative violations, license extension and supplementation, etc. to create conditions for mines to exploit and supply stone on schedule for key national projects.
