On April 8, Hoa Binh Provincial Police said they were investigating a case of organizing gambling using dice shaking in Cao Phong district.

Previously, at around 4:30 p.m. on April 6, the Criminal Police Department coordinated with the Traffic Police Department and Cao Phong District Police to inspect a passenger boat driven by Mr. PCT (born in 1975, residing in Trung Minh Ward, Hoa Binh City), moving on the Da River Lake, in Thung Nai Commune, Cao Phong District.
At the time of inspection, the police discovered 20 people in the train compartment (19 people residing in Chuong My district, Hanoi ; 1 person residing in Luong Son district, Hoa Binh) gambling by shaking dice, winning or losing with cash.

The police seized more than 100 million VND on the gambling table and nearly 16 million VND in "fees" from the gamblers; 1 porcelain bowl, 1 porcelain plate, 4 round dice, 3 walkie-talkies and the boat.
At the police station, the suspects confessed their crimes.
