A traditional education program for youth union members through historical events with the same 60-year milestone: hero Nguyen Van Troi was assigned to plant mines on Cong Ly bridge, Venezuelan guerrillas kidnapped the US military attaché and fought for Nguyen Van Troi's freedom, and People's Armed Forces Hero - martyr Nguyen Van Troi sacrificed his life (October 15).
"His words echo forever" with the young generation
Each story reminds young people of the struggle movement of generations of youth during the resistance war, which is the tradition of young workers. Thereby, it arouses the pride and responsibility of the city's young generation to participate in the emulation of labor, creative shock to affirm the role of the working class in the new era.
Interwoven between the story and the guests are songs from a time of passionate struggle from youth, songs written about hero Nguyen Van Troi.
Former Vice President Truong My Hoa, along with Ms. Truong My Le (permanent vice president of the City Youth Union Traditional Club) and Mr. Pham Xuan Binh - vice president of the City Youth Union Traditional Club - told many stories about Ms. Phan Thi Quyen (Mr. Troi's wife) and the days of struggle of Saigon students at that time.
It can be said that the life and revolutionary career of hero Nguyen Van Troi, although short, was complete because "He lived a life shining brightly under the sun, he lived a beautiful youth in the smoke and fire that forged thousands of steels" .
Ms. Truong My Le recalled: "After Nguyen Van Troi sacrificed, the struggle movement did not waver but grew more and more, contributing to the victory in the spring of 1975."

Be ready to volunteer anytime, anywhere
Also participating in the exchange was musician Xuan Nghia. Not only does he have many compositions associated with youth, he is also a face of many volunteer activities.
It was those trips that inspired him to compose many songs about the volunteer movement of the youth of Bac City.
He talked about his volunteer journey in Laos, sang a song he composed and shared: "Let's volunteer anytime, anywhere."
While Ho Chi Minh City Outstanding Young Citizen Le Duc Anh - Secretary of the Youth Union, Deputy Director of the Food Processing Factory (Cholimex Food Joint Stock Company) - expressed that after listening to the sharing of his predecessors, he himself thought more deeply about the sense of responsibility of today's youth.
“Reality requires us to make more efforts, be more active and creative to be able to solve difficult problems in the unit,” Duc Anh said.

The story of the heroic sacrifice of the young hero, the indomitable symbol of the city's workers, although 60 years have passed, still inspires and spreads, continuing the traditional fire, fostering patriotism and a spirit of dedication to the community for today's young generation.
That is also a message of responsibility for every young person today, and also a mission to continue writing glorious history to build a peaceful , happy and prosperous country.
