7 Su30-MK2 fighters flying in the sky of Hanoi

At noon on November 25, seven Su30-MK2 fighters and many Mi helicopters conducted practice flights in the sky around Gia Lam airport, Long Bien, Hanoi . This is an activity to prepare for the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024.

According to information from the Air Defense - Air Force, the flight formation included 7 Su30-MK2 fighters and 7 Mi helicopters, flying in 2 groups.

7 Su30-MK2 fighters took off from Kep airport, Bac Giang , flying in two formations, one formation of 3 planes flying first and the other of 4 planes flying next.

Similarly, 7 Mi helicopters took off from Hoa Lac airport, divided into two teams, 3 planes flying first and 4 planes flying next.

Su30-MK2 fighters depart from Kep airport, Bac Giang, after completing the welcome flight, will return to the airport.

This is an activity of the air force of Regiment 927 and Regiment 916 (Air Defense - Air Force), to prepare well for the opening ceremony of the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024 organized by the Ministry of National Defense of Vietnam at Gia Lam Airport, Hanoi from December 19 to 22.

According to information from the organizing committee, the opening ceremony of the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024 will feature a welcome flight performance by the Vietnam Air Force; about 2,200 officers and soldiers of special forces performing martial arts and techniques; and border guards using 80 military dogs and 80 trainers to perform.

Along with that, a new point this year is the participation of the activities of the cyber warfare force with an area displaying the achievements of this force.

Major General Le Quang Tuyen, deputy director of the General Department of Defense Industry, said this year's exhibition has a total area of more than 100,000m2 , with an indoor display area of 15,000m2 and an outdoor area of more than 20,000m2 .

To date, nearly 200 domestic and foreign units and enterprises from 27 countries have registered to participate.

After the opening ceremony with activities by Party and State leaders and international delegations, the exhibition will be open to the public for free from 1:30 p.m. on December 21 to December 22.
