Acer launches laptop with 3D screen without glasses

Báo Thanh niênBáo Thanh niên09/01/2024

According to The Verge , Acer's SpatialLabs 3D technology uses a stereoscopic display to create three-dimensional images, without the need for 3D glasses to perceive three-dimensional objects. This technology was first introduced on the ConceptD laptop and Predator Helios 300, priced at $3,500 and $4,000, respectively. This has limited the accessibility of users to them.

Aspire 3D 15 SpatialLabs Edition allows you to enjoy 3D without glasses

Now, the Aspire 3D 15 SpatialLabs Edition will help solve the price problem to make the product more accessible to users. It is a laptop model with a 15.6-inch UHD screen with many different hardware configurations, including an Intel Core i7-13620H CPU, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 GPU, 32GB DDR5 RAM and 2TB SSD.

The product also comes with available connection ports including HDMI 2.1, USB-C with Thunderbolt 4, 3 USB 3.2 ports, Ethernet and headphone jack. The laptop supports Wi-Fi 6 wireless connection standard as well as the ability to interact with Microsoft Copilot AI Bot and other AI tools.

It's worth noting that the Aspire 3D 15 SpatialLabs Edition does an excellent job of generating 3D images, but like Acer's previous 3D-screened laptops, multiple people can't view the 3D image at the same time. That's because SpatialLabs' stereoscopic 3D technology tracks the position of the user's eyes and head using a pair of special sensors. Each user's eyes see separate, nearly identical 2D images, which are typically perceived by the brain as three-dimensional, resulting in a 3D image that can only be generated for one user.

The Aspire 3D 15 SpatialLabs Edition will go on sale next month, starting at $1,399. That’s a lot of money for a laptop, but it’s significantly cheaper than Acer’s previous 3D laptops. The idea is to make it easier for users to experiment with 3D laptops.
