An Giang hopes businesses will contribute ideas for mutual development

On October 11, the People's Committee of An Giang province held a meeting to celebrate Vietnam Entrepreneurs Day and listened to suggestions from the business community so that both sides can improve and develop together.

According to the Department of Planning and Investment of An Giang province, the province currently has more than 8,000 operating enterprises, contributing over 60% of the total budget revenue and creating jobs for hundreds of thousands of workers, with an average income of over 9 million VND/person/month.

Currently, An Giang has 36 direct investment projects from foreign enterprises, with a total registered capital of 261 million USD, creating jobs for 16,800 workers.

In the first 9 months of 2024, nearly 890 enterprises entered the market, an increase of 10.16% over the same period, 766 newly registered enterprises with a total capital of VND 4,930 billion, an increase of 8.50% over the same period in 2023.

At the meeting, Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung emphasized that with the spirit of openness and listening, the province always wants the business community to research, propose, and contribute ideas to restore the socio -economy and develop best in the new period.

"I suggest that businesses and entrepreneurs participate in giving their opinions and suggestions with focus and quality, demonstrating the sense of responsibility and dedication of businesses and investors. This is an important basis for the province to research and concretize into tasks and solutions in the work of leadership, direction, management and operation of the socio-economy in the new conditions," said Mr. Mung.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Yen - CEO of Duong Khang Trading and Service Company Limited - said that the unit has cherished the idea of investing in Cho Moi district with a unique project, creating a highlight for the homeland, attracting domestic and international tourists .

When coming here, visitors can experience a variety of services, driftwood works, golden sand dunes and the investor is dedicated to building a driftwood tree house accommodation area to meet the needs of international visitors.

Mr. Ho Van Mung highly appreciated the role of enterprises that have been dynamic and creative, contributing to the rapid socio-economic development of An Giang. He also emphasized that today's achievements have a particularly important contribution from the business community.

He hopes that businesses will both develop the economy and share with local authorities, build close relationships and show trust in the role of state management agencies.

At the same time, acknowledge, commend and express gratitude for the great contributions, expecting businesses to continue to accompany local authorities in socio-economic development.
