On the evening of September 18, the art program celebrating the 100th birthday of musician Tran Kiet Tuong with the theme "Ho Chi Minh is the most beautiful name", left many impressions.
Musician Tran Kiet Tuong not only writes songs but also many other genres such as instrumental music, composes music for some cai luong plays, movies... and especially his research, collection and popularization of folk songs has great value to the country's art.
Musician Tran Kiet Tuong was exposed to Southern folk songs and melodies from a young age. At the age of 12, he learned to play the zither and mandolin. During the resistance war against the French, the mandolin accompanied him on the roads of the South.
The program Ho Chi Minh, the most beautiful name of the person, includes 3 chapters: Southern arms on the land of the North, Spring of Desire and Thousands of passionate and affectionate songs. The audience will listen to his famous songs from different periods such as: "Southern arms on the land of the North", "My homeland, we will return", "Ao ba ba", "Anh Ba Hung", "Mimosa" ... especially the famous song, associated with the name of musician Tran Kiet Tuong - "Ho Chi Minh, the most beautiful name of the person".
Musician Tran Kiet Tuong's works, regardless of genre, are imbued with national identity, taking the nation's precious ancient heritage as a fulcrum while still blending in the breath of the times.
