Mr. Chanh and Ms. My were also accused of establishing a series of member companies to facilitate the advertising and trading of many fertilizer products in many provinces and cities across the country.
Notably, before falling into trouble with the law, Ms. Nguyen Thi Cam My (born in 1984) - General Director of Nam Duong Fertilizer Trading Joint Stock Company - was also known as a successful, wealthy businesswoman with a glamorous appearance and many active social activities in Binh Dinh.

At the contest "Shining the beauty of Binh Dinh women: Graceful - Brave - Talented" in 2022 organized by the Binh Dinh Provincial Women Entrepreneurs Association in coordination with the Provincial Women's Union, Ms. Nguyen Thi Cam My won the gold prize.
At the contest, 20 contestants attending the final round came from 11 districts, towns and cities in Binh Dinh province.
Surpassing the other contestants, Ms. My won the highest prize in the local beauty contest.
The owner of fake fertilizer also established many other businesses.
According to data from the national business registration system, Ms. My is also the general director and legal representative of Nam Duong Tourism Group Joint Stock Company.
The above enterprise was established in 2017, headquartered in Quy Nhon city, Binh Dinh. The main field of Nam Duong Tourism is short-term accommodation services (hotels, resort tourism).
Nam Duong Tourism Group has a charter capital of 6.8 billion VND. Of which, Mr. Chanh - Ms. My's husband - contributed 25% of the capital. Another individual shareholder named Pham Luom contributed 5%, while Ms. My held the remaining 70%.
In addition, Ms. My is also the general director and legal representative of a company with a rather strange name: Ukraine Group Joint Stock Company.
This enterprise was established by Ms. My in 2018, headquartered in Ben Luc district, Long An . The charter capital of Ukraine Group is only 6.8 billion VND.
There are three shareholders contributing capital to Ukraine Group Joint Stock Company, including: Ms. My with 60% of capital, Mr. Chanh 35%, and the rest is an individual named Pham Thanh Trung.
Meanwhile, at the United States International Fertilizer Corporation - VINA, Mr. Bui Minh Chanh is the general director and legal representative.
During an emergency search of the headquarters and production warehouse of the United States International Fertilizer Corporation - VINA and Nam Duong Fertilizer Trading Joint Stock Company, the Economic Police Department of Dak Lak Province Police seized 10,264 bags labeled with different brands of NPK fertilizers with a total weight of more than 513 tons.
Police also seized more than 4,000 tons of raw materials for fertilizer production along with many related papers, documents, and books.
During the investigation expansion process, two special task forces worked with 32 fertilizer dealers in Dak Lak, Dak Nong, Gia Lai and Kon Tum provinces, temporarily seizing 848.3 tons of fertilizer products produced and sold by Nam Duong Company and USA - VINA Company.
Authorities requested that agents who bought fertilizer from the two companies should hand over the goods soon. If they sell them on the market, they will be handled according to the law.
