On the afternoon of November 14, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (DCT) held a conference to discuss solutions to improve the Department's Competitiveness Index (DDCI).

Attending the conference were leaders of the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) Thanh Hoa - Ninh Binh Branch; representatives of the Provincial Business Association, Provincial Tourism Association, Women Entrepreneurs Association, Young Entrepreneurs Association; related organizations, units and representatives of enterprises operating in the fields of culture, sports and tourism in the province.

Implementing the Project to assess the competitiveness index of provincial departments, branches and sectors and district-level People's Committees for the period 2021-2025 of the Provincial People's Committee, in recent years, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has promoted administrative procedure reform; improved service spirit, enhanced work-solving capacity of civil servants and public employees; promptly and actively handled comments, feedback and recommendations from people and organizations... After more than 3 years of implementing the Project, the ranking of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has had positive changes. In 2021 and 2022, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism ranked 14th; in 2023, it ranked 11th out of a total of 22 provincial departments, branches and sectors. However, this result has not improved significantly, some indicators are still limited.

At the conference, representatives of VCCI Thanh Hoa - Ninh Binh Branch analyzed and evaluated the DDCI results in 2023 of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; at the same time, pointed out the limitations and proposed practical solutions to improve the DDCI index of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2024 and the following years. Thereby, helping cadres, civil servants and public employees raise awareness of improving the competitiveness index; focusing on reviewing, promptly removing and resolving difficulties and problems of enterprises in the management field, contributing to improving the score and ranking of the competitiveness index of the unit.

Discussing at the conference, representatives of the Provincial Business Association, the Provincial Tourism Association... and a number of enterprises in the fields of culture, sports and tourism proposed a number of solutions to improve the DDCI index such as: strengthening dialogue with enterprises through many forms; receiving feedback and recommendations from enterprises to promptly resolve difficulties and problems that enterprises are facing; strengthening inspection and examination of public duties; inspection and examination of enterprises need to be focused and key, not affecting the production and business activities of enterprises...
