The Bootleg Beatles are one of the few Beatles tribute bands to tour with a "live" orchestra.

Information from the organizers of The Bootleg Beatles Vietnam 2024 program said that the 3 shows in Vietnam are part of the series of programs celebrating the 44th anniversary of The Beatles' tribute tour by The Bootleg Beatles.

The event is scheduled to take place on October 31 in Ho Chi Minh City and November 2 and 3 in Hanoi .

Who are The Bootleg Beatles?

Formed in Liverpool in 1960, The Beatles (consisting of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr) became a worldwide pop music phenomenon.

They created a Beatles fan culture called Beatlemania - a form of fandom that persists today even after the band broke up.

In The Guardian , writer Jonathan Freedland said that "The Beatles were like aliens from the future in 1969 and they remain just as radical today".

The Beatles' appeal was such that many bands were formed, just to cover their music as faithfully as possible.

The Bootleg Beatles, formed in 1980, are one of the few Beatles tribute bands to tour with a live orchestra. To date, they have played a total of around 4,500 shows in 40 countries around the world .

The Bootleg Beatles, including Steve White, Stephen Hill, Paul Canning and Gordon Elsmore, memorized every gesture of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr through years of research and practice.

The Bootleg Beatles are said to bring the best of The Beatles to many corners of the world. Not only simply recreating and covering the music of the quartet, the band also "recreated" the musical space of one of the most famous music icons of the time.

Don't Let Me Down - Bootleg Beatles Live

They had a memorable 6-week tour in the Soviet Union in 1982. Talking about that show of The Bootleg Beatles, the Daily Telegraph (UK) said "this is not a tribute to The Beatles, but a rebirth".

Sharing with Tuoi Tre Online , the event's media representative revealed that in three shows in Vietnam, The Bootleg Beatles will recreate hits associated with The Beatles' name, including Yesterday, She loves you , Love me do , I want to hold your hand , Twist and Shout ...
