Mr. Hossain made the comments during an exclusive interview with Reuters TV in Dhaka.

Mr. Hossain also said that the Bangladesh caretaker government led by Mr. Mohammad Yunus was “very unhappy” with the way India made statements related to former Prime Minister Hasina.

According to sources, the Bangladesh caretaker government has cancelled the passports of former Prime Minister Hasina, her advisers, former Cabinet members and all members of the 12th Parliament. The government has also revoked the diplomatic passports of their spouses and children.

Ms Hasina resigned and fled to India on 5 August, following a student-led uprising against her.

According to Dhaka Tribune , one complaint has been filed against Ms. Hasina and 24 others have been filed with the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague, Netherlands, alleging human rights violations.

Bangladesh is currently facing political instability after Sheikh Hasina resigned and fled the country. Regarding the possibility of holding elections in Bangladesh, the Foreign Affairs Adviser to the Caretaker Government said that a more specific timeline will be given in September.
