(CLO) With its positive contributions, the Journalist & Public Opinion newspaper was honored to win the Outstanding Collective Award at the 9th Golden Hammer and Sickle Awards Ceremony - 2024, which took place on the evening of January 20 in Hanoi .
As soon as it was launched, the 9th Golden Hammer and Sickle Award - 2024 received a very positive response from the Journalists and Public Opinion newspapers.
The Association of Journalists of the Journalists and Public Opinion Newspaper has disseminated to each reporter the criteria and rules of the award, including a thorough discussion of the specific criteria and characteristics of the Golden Hammer and Sickle Journalism Award, so that departments and reporters can clearly understand and choose appropriate topics to register for.
Comrade Hoang Dang Quang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee and Comrade Nguyen Quang Duong, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee awarded certificates of merit to honor 15 outstanding collectives, exemplary in contributing significantly to the success of the 9th Golden Hammer and Sickle Award - 2024.
In order to support and help conduct the most effective appraisal and screening of press works participating in press awards, including the Golden Hammer and Sickle Press Award, the Newspaper has established a Council for Appraising Press Works, headed by the Deputy Editor-in-Chief in charge of content, and members who are Editorial Secretaries with many years of experience in appraising press works. The Council works on a periodic basis.
To be allowed to participate in national press awards, including the Golden Hammer and Sickle Press Award, individuals and departments must register specific topics, content, and implementation methods with the Journalists Association of the Journalists and Public Opinion Newspaper. The Association will review and then submit them to the Press Works Review Council for approval. In addition, the Editorial Board and the Association also regularly provide additional "hot" directions and instructions to departments on newly emerging topics and issues of high discovery nature.
And to help departments and reporters implement their registered topics for the contest with the highest efficiency, the Journalists Association of the Journalists and Public Opinion Newspaper as well as the Secretariat have professional exchange sessions as well as timely guidance, especially guidance, support, and professional skills in writing about the Party in general, and Party building work for reporters, so that reporters can grasp and master the standards to not only write well but also write correctly, accurately, and in the right ideological direction.

Thanks to the close and specific guidance of the Editorial Board, the Association, the research on the topic, and the improvement of journalism skills on Party building, the group of authors Tran Lan Anh - Ha Thi Hong Sam - Nguyen Quan Tuan - Tran Van Quoc - Nguyen Thi Huong - Quach Ha Duong - Nguyen Ba Quynh excellently won the B Prize with the series of articles "People's trust - the strength of the Party" at the 9th Golden Hammer and Sickle Awards - 2024. With this series of articles, the Journalists and Public Opinion newspaper helps to convey the message: People's trust in the Party is the source of strength for the victory of the Vietnamese revolution.
In addition, reporter Ha Van of the Journalist & Public Opinion Newspaper with the work Preserving Party Character - "The Red Thread" of Vietnam's Revolutionary Journalism made it to the final round of this year's Award Ceremony.
