Introduction to War Remnants Museum
Located at 28 Vo Van Tan Street, Ward 6, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City, the War Remnants Museum was established on September 4, 1975 and is currently a member of the Vietnam Museum System, the International Council of Museums (ICOM) as well as the Museums for World Peace (INMP). This is a place to research, collect, preserve and display evidence of crimes and consequences of wars of aggression against Vietnam, thereby spreading the message of opposing unjust wars, preserving peace and promoting solidarity among nations.
Currently, the museum has 9 permanent exhibitions along with many thematic and mobile exhibitions and exchange activities between the public and historical witnesses. With more than 1 million visitors each year, the War Remnants Museum has become a prominent cultural and tourist destination, attracting a large number of domestic and foreign tourists.
