On May 12, the Investigation Police Agency of Bao Thang District Police initiated a case and prosecuted Ly Van Linh (born in 1990, permanent residence in Nhai Ten village, Kim Son commune, Bao Yen district) for the act of "prostitution brokerage".
Previously, from late April to early May 2023, the criminal investigation force of Bao Thang District Police discovered a prostitution brokerage ring in Bao Thang District. The leaders of Bao Thang District Police directed the criminal police force to establish a special project with code number 686T, requesting to quickly fight, destroy, and arrest related subjects.
At about 9:30 p.m. on May 6, 2023, the reconnaissance force discovered the subject transporting prostitutes to guests at Manh Quyen motel, Khe Den hamlet, Son Ha commune. The task force sent 3 reconnaissance teams to raid, conduct inspections, and caught red-handed at Manh Quyen motel 2 couples engaging in prostitution in rooms 102 and 201, seizing many related objects and documents. During the investigation, the subjects confessed that Ly Van Linh (born in 1990) directly brokered the purchase and sale of sex.
The investigation team summoned Ly Van Linh for questioning. With the collected documents, at the police station, Linh admitted his crime.
The Investigation Police Agency has decided to temporarily detain Ly Van Linh.
On May 12, the Investigation Police Agency of Bao Thang District Police initiated a criminal case and prosecuted Ly Van Linh for the act of "prostitution brokerage", and continued to investigate to handle the subject according to the provisions of the law.
