Arrest of internationally wanted subject for trafficking of women

(Dan Tri) - Thanh Hoa province authorities have arrested an internationally wanted subject for the crime of Trafficking in women.


On February 21, Thanh Hoa Provincial Police announced that they had successfully arrested internationally wanted criminal Le Thi Huong (born in 1976, hometown in Xuan Cao commune, Thuong Xuan district, Thanh Hoa).

Previously, on the afternoon of February 19, Le Thi Huong was returned by Chinese authorities at Huu Nghi International Border Gate, Lang Son province.

Through coordination and verification with professional units of the Ministry of Public Security and Lang Son Provincial Police, the functional forces of Thanh Hoa Provincial Police discovered that Le Thi Huong was an internationally wanted subject for the crime of Trafficking in women.

After being extradited to her locality, Le Thi Huong is being detained at Thanh Hoa Provincial Police Detention Center.
