VTC NewsVTC News22/05/2024

On May 22, the People's Procuracy of Thua Thien - Hue province approved the decision to prosecute the accused and the arrest warrant for temporary detention of the Investigation Police Agency of Thua Thien - Hue province against Nguyen Le Quan (residing on Phung Hung street, Dong Ba ward, Hue city - Director of Tai Phuoc Duc LLC) for the crime of "Illegal trading of invoices and documents for payment to the State budget".

According to the police investigation, from April 2023 to January 2024, Nguyen Le Quan purchased hundreds of VAT invoices for beer products from Nguyen Thi Nhung for Tai Phuoc Duc LLC, of which Quan is the director. Quan then used these invoices to declare input costs for Quan's company, causing a large loss to the state budget.

Regarding this case, previously, on February 28, the Investigation Police Agency of Thua Thien - Hue Province prosecuted and issued search warrants for Nguyen Thi Nhung, Pham Thuy Dung, Chau Thi Hoai, and Le Thi Ngoc Anh. Of which, Nguyen Thi Nhung and Pham Thuy Dung were temporarily detained.

According to the initial investigation results of the police force, because of her acquaintance with the accountants Pham Thuy Dung, Chau Thi Hoai and Le Thi Ngoc Anh, Nguyen Thi Nhung asked these accountants to issue invoices for Tai Phuoc Duc Company. Nhung agreed to pay 0.1% of the total value of goods after tax on the invoice.

Taking advantage of the fact that the business owner assigned the task of managing invoices, issuing invoices to customers on a daily basis and compiling retail invoices for the day, Pham Thuy Dung, Chau Thi Hoai and Le Thi Ngoc Anh balanced the daily retail sales for customers who did not take invoices. Then, they took the remaining quantity to issue invoices to Tai Phuoc Duc Company as requested by Nguyen Thi Nhung.

Pham Thuy Dung sold 173 value-added invoices with a post-tax value of more than 3.4 billion VND; Chau Thi Hoai sold 51 value-added invoices with a post-tax value of more than 920 million VND; Le Thi Ngoc Anh sold 19 value-added invoices with a value of more than 333 million VND.

The case is currently being investigated by the Investigation Police Agency of Thua Thien - Hue Province.
