Ben Tre spends 12 billion VND to upgrade the memorial site of female general Nguyen Thi Dinh

Accordingly, the project will focus on main items such as temple renovation; renovating the reception house, stele house, exhibition house, fence gate, coconut house; repairing the current toilet; installing outdoor lighting system.

Overall renovation of the yard, flower beds, drainage system; refurbishment of the office of Major General Nguyen Thi Dinh - Deputy Commander of the Liberation Army of South Vietnam at the headquarters of the Liberation Army of South Vietnam; renovation of auxiliary items and installation of necessary equipment. The total investment is more than 12 billion VND.

Nguyen Thi Dinh Memorial Area was put into operation in December 2003 in Giong Trom district, Ben Tre province with a total area of 15,000m2.

After more than 20 years of exploitation to serve the needs of visiting, worshiping, and introducing the image and career of Female General Nguyen Thi Dinh associated with a period of arduous and heroic resistance of the army and people of Ben Tre, some items of the memorial area have degraded.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Be Muoi, Vice Chairwoman of Ben Tre Provincial People's Committee, said that the project to renovate and upgrade Nguyen Thi Dinh Memorial Area aims to commemorate, express gratitude and deep gratitude to the outstanding daughter of the homeland, who devoted her whole life to the cause of national liberation and country building.

At the same time, raise awareness and responsibility of Party committees, authorities and people in the work of "repaying gratitude".

Upon completion, the Temple of Female General Nguyen Thi Dinh will continue to be a "red address" of Ben Tre province, making an important contribution to the cultural, social and economic development of the province.

Female General Nguyen Thi Dinh - the first female general of the Vietnam People's Army, former deputy commander of the Liberation Army of South Vietnam, former vice president of the State Council, Hero of the People's Armed Forces, an outstanding daughter of her homeland Ben Tre Dong Khoi.
