Known for his innovative approach to dance and ability to combine physical movement with digital elements, Umeda's work promises to be a thoughtful and visually satisfying experience.

As one of the leaders of Japan’s avant-garde art community, Hiroaki Umeda has captivated audiences worldwide with his unique style and profound exploration of time, space, and the human body. Throughout his long career, he has received numerous awards, including the Prix Ars Electronica Honorable Mention in 2010.

In the piece "While going to a condition" (2002), the audience will enjoy a performance of light, sound, image and body - all elements combined into a hybrid unity to express what the artist calls "images of separate energy states". In his first internationally successful solo work, Umeda expressed the core of his artistic principles.

In "Intensional Particle" (2015), the audience experiences a digital reality saturated with “unstable stability”: raging streams disappear after a minute, and glowing waterfalls evaporate after a second. While the canvas explodes, saturated with digital curves right before our eyes, it also gives the impression of extreme fragility.

Hiroaki Umeda's performance will be a must-see for contemporary dance fans and anyone looking for a unique and thoughtful artistic experience.

The program will take place from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on November 16 and 17 (Saturday and Sunday) at the Youth Theater (11 Ngo Thi Nham, Hai Ba Trung, Hanoi).
