Binh Duong organized the final football tournament with a record of nearly 200 participating teams.

TPO - The football tournament with the Binh Duong brand before merging with the new Ho Chi Minh City had nearly 200 teams.

On June 29, Binh Duong province opened the “Becamex Group” Cup Football Tournament. The tournament was jointly organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Duong province, the Provincial Football Federation, and Becamex IDC Corporation.

The football tournament takes place from June to mid-October 2025, attracting 196 teams with nearly 5,000 athletes who are civil servants, public employees, workers, and people to compete.

The participating teams are divided into a total of 50 competition groups and will compete every Saturday and Sunday. The qualifying rounds will take place at 4 stadium clusters in Thuan An city, Go Dau football stadium (Thu Dau Mot city), Binh Duong New City Administrative Center football stadium and My Phuoc Industrial Park football stadium (Ben Cat city).

Nearly 200 teams participated in the tournament.

The Organizing Committee selected 16 teams with the best performance from the 4 clusters to compete in the final round. The champion team will receive a prize of 100 million VND, the remaining prizes are 60 million VND, 40 million VND and 20 million VND respectively. In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded individual titles such as excellent goalkeeper, top scorer, etc.

At the same time, the Organizing Committee awarded prizes to the 4 teams with the highest achievements in each cluster, respectively the cluster champion team received a prize of 30 million VND, the cluster second place team received a prize of 20 million VND, the third and fourth place teams received prizes of 15 million VND and 10 million VND respectively.

At the opening ceremony, representatives of the Vietnam Football Federation announced the decision to award the "For the Cause of Vietnamese Football" Medal to individuals with outstanding contributions to the cause of building and developing football in Binh Duong province, including Mr. Nguyen Van Hung - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Becamex IDC Corporation; Mr. Vu Duc Thanh - Chairman of the Binh Duong Provincial Football Federation and Mr. Cao Van Chong - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the province.
