TPO - Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son has signed a decision to transfer and appoint Dr. Thai Van Tai to hold the position of Director of the Department of General Education , Ministry of Education and Training, replacing Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thanh.
According to the decision of the Minister of Education and Training, Dr. Thai Van Tai will hold the position of Director of the Department of General Education for 5 years.

The Department of General Education is a new unit established on the basis of restructuring the apparatus of the Ministry of Education and Training. Specifically, the Department of Primary Education and the Department of Secondary Education under the Ministry of Education and Training previously merged into the Department of General Education.
Before being transferred and appointed to the new position, Dr. Thai Van Tai was the Director of the Department of Primary Education, Ministry of Education and Training from 2018 to present.
Dr. Thai Van Tai was born in 1979, from Nghe An province, has a PhD in Educational Management.
Dr. Thai Van Tai has held many management positions such as: Head of the Department of Education and Training, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Krong Ana district, Dak Lak province; Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Dak Lak province. After that, Mr. Tai returned to the Ministry of Education and Training to work and held the position of Head of the Department of Primary Education.
The Minister of Education and Training also signed a decision to transfer and appoint Ms. Nguyen Thu Thuy to the position of Director of the Department of International Cooperation. Previously, Ms. Thuy was the Director of the Department of Higher Education.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh De was transferred and appointed to the position of Head of the Department of Preschool Education to replace Mr. Nguyen Ba Minh. Previously, Mr. De was the Head of the Department of Physical Education.
In addition, the Ministry of Education and Training also appointed Mr. Hoang Duc Minh, Director of the Department of Continuing Education, as Director of the Department of Students.
Mr. Tran Van Dat, Director of the Department of Political Education and Student Affairs. Deputy Director of the Department of Students.
Implementing the plan to rearrange and restructure the apparatus, the Ministry of Education and Training reduced 1 General Department to a Department and reduced 6 Departments.
