In 2018, the school opened its first class and held a graduation ceremony for this class of students in June 2023. On its website, Fulbright University Vietnam introduces itself as "Vietnam's first liberal arts university" with the mission of "nurturing and inspiring new generations of leaders and ambitious thinkers from diverse backgrounds to serve Vietnamese society and contribute to a better world". Fulbright University Vietnam's Attention-Grabbing Parade

The graduation ceremony of 128 new graduates of Fulbright University Vietnam last June has become a topic of discussion among many Vietnamese social media users in recent days. As part of the graduation ceremony called Fearless, new graduates of Fulbright University Vietnam and lecturers participated in a parade from the campus to SSMC in Ho Chi Minh City. However, many opinions on Vietnamese social media sites have expressed concern about this parade. Some people think that the absence of the Vietnamese national flag while Fulbright University Vietnam is operating here is unacceptable.
