On November 21, 2023, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) adopted Resolution No. 42 C/15 to commemorate the 300th anniversary of the birth of the famous physician Hai Thuong Lan Ong Le Huu Trac (1724 - 2024). This is an honor and pride for Ha Tinh province in particular and also a common joy for all Vietnamese people in general. On behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs , with sincere feelings, I would like to warmly congratulate the Party Committee, government and people of Ha Tinh province.
UNESCO's passing of a resolution to celebrate the 300th anniversary of the birth of the famous physician Hai Thuong Lan Ong Le Huu Trac is a recognition and appreciation by the international community for the contributions of the famous physician to society and the community, especially the humanistic ideology of "living for everyone" and the spirit of "lifelong learning", which are the values that UNESCO is promoting.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will continue to accompany and cooperate closely with Ha Tinh province in cooperation with UNESCO and international partners, effectively promoting the image of the country and people and promoting the ideological values of Vietnamese celebrities, creating more foundations and motivations to build and promote sustainable and peaceful social development.
