Female singer/songwriter Hoang Hong Ngoc in military uniform will hold her personal live show "The Steel Flower" on the evening of August 8, at the Army Theater, Hanoi .

This is the first music night in Captain Hoang Hong Ngoc's career since she won the championship of the light music category of the Sao Mai Contest 2015, as well as 15 years since the girl from Nghe An "packed up" to go to Hanoi to study, starting her singing career.

Sharing at a press conference on August 4, Hoang Hong Ngoc said she chose the image of “Steel Flower” for the live show to look back on her journey and continue on the path of professional singing in a soldier’s uniform.

“The two images of the lotus and the female soldier evoke enduring vitality and resilient beauty. The lotus can survive in harsh environments, without much care, and still thrives, as a symbol of independence and adaptability. Likewise, the female soldier represents a brave woman, committed to a disciplined and stressful environment, but still retains her own qualities and charisma,” Hoang Hong Ngoc shared.

The music night used mostly Hoang Hong Ngoc's compositions, especially highlighting the beauty of female soldiers.

The music night was directed by Hoang Hong Ngoc himself, with the appearance of guests: Oplus Group, Sao Mai singers: Thu Thuy, Hong Duyen, Bich Ngoc, Le Minh Ngoc, two new talents Quang Huy-Mai Chi and two sisters Mai Trang (Sao Mai Diem Hen Competition) and Thu Hien (VK group). Program director Huy Cong and band Binh Van also contributed significantly to Hoang Hong Ngoc's colorful music party.

The music night will recreate Hoang Hong Ngoc's 15-year journey pursuing professional art.

Born and raised in Vinh (Nghe An), Hoang Hong Ngoc showed her singing talent from a young age. She used to participate in artistic activities at the "Blue Bird Art Team" - Viet Duc Children's Cultural House (Vinh, Nghe An) and won many awards from a young age, under the guidance of musician Le Xuan Hoa.

In 2012, under the support and guidance of musician Ho Trong Tuan, Meritorious Artist Hong Hanh established the Green Leaf music group with 6 members: Hoang Hong Ngoc, Hong Duyen, Thu Thuy, Bich Ngoc, Lan Anh, Vo Huyen Trang.

Hoang Hong Ngoc has the ability to sing all genres (folk, chamber music, light music), but that is her weakness because she is always struggling to know which path is suitable for her.

And to challenge herself and find her identity, Hoang Hong Ngoc participated in many competitions such as Vietnam Idol, X-Factor, Sao Mai Diem Hen... In 2015, she continued to register for the Sao Mai Competition and was lucky to win First Prize in the light music category under the guidance of People's Artist Ha Thuy.

After graduating from the Military University of Culture and Arts, Hoang Hong Ngoc was accepted to the Military Theater, from there, she was able to freely create art, because her dream of being a “soldier” had come true, she devoted herself to her work in the army uniform. Composing about soldiers and singing about soldiers is sacred in her heart, but it is also Hoang Hong Ngoc's endless passion.

During her 15 years in the profession, Hoang Hong Ngoc composed nearly 80 songs about the country, soldiers and love. Many of her songs won her big awards and became hits loved by the public./.
