In order to provide advanced and modern medical services, better meeting the increasing health care needs of the people, Thai Binh General Hospital has just put into operation three new specialized units: Emergency and Stroke Center, Diagnostic Imaging and Interventional Radiology Center, and Department of Thoracic Surgery.

Bright spot in intensive care

The Emergency and Stroke Center was established with the goal of providing quick and effective emergency care for emergencies, especially stroke cases. This is a field that requires short-term treatment to minimize the risk of death and severe sequelae. The center is not only equipped with modern equipment, but also has a team of experienced doctors and nurses, always ready to act.

In addition to its treatment mission, the Center also organizes health education and communication activities for the community, helping people recognize early signs of stroke and how to prevent it. Dr. Vu Son Tung, Head of the Emergency Department, was assigned to be in charge of the Center with the determination to build the Center into a bright spot in emergency care and emergency health care.

Modernizing diagnosis and treatment

The Center for Diagnostic Imaging and Interventional Radiology was established to meet the requirements of performing diagnostic and medical intervention techniques with the support of modern imaging equipment, helping to accurately diagnose diseases and support effective treatment, especially in complex cases.

With the responsibility of storing and preserving medical images for research and teaching, the Center also plays a role in training medical staff. Dr. Nguyen Van Ken, an experienced person in the field of diagnostic imaging, was assigned to lead the Center, expressing his hope that the Center will serve the needs of the province well and strive to become the leading unit in the region.

Specializing in thoracic surgery and treatment

The Department of Thoracic Surgery was established with the mission of focusing on the treatment and surgery of complex diseases related to the chest. The department is invested with modern equipment and a team of good doctors, ready to receive and handle difficult cases, bringing hope of life to many patients.

Dr. Do Tat Thanh, Deputy Director of the Cardiovascular Center and Head of the Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery, is assigned to be in charge of the Department and is committed to building the Department into a prestigious address in the field of thoracic surgery, serving patients in the province and the region.

Synchronous development, towards improving medical quality

At the launching ceremony of 3 new units, Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Chinh, Associate Professor, Doctor, Doctor of Medicine, Director of Thai Binh Provincial General Hospital shared that the establishment of specialized centers and departments is the result of consensus and efforts from the hospital's staff.

“The establishment of new units not only helps improve the quality of medical services, but also has great significance in enhancing the position of the Hospital, making Thai Binh a bright spot in the national health system,” Ms. Chinh affirmed.

These new units will reduce the burden on upper-level hospitals, helping people access modern medical techniques right in their hometowns, thereby reducing costs, effort and time for patients and their families.

These are also the 3 modern specialized units that Thai Binh Provincial General Hospital welcomes Spring 2025 and celebrates the 70th anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors' Day (February 27, 1955 - February 27, 2025).
