“The Wind Across the Blue Sky” is copyrighted from the famous Chinese movie “30 is not yet the end”. The movie is about modern women who have passed the age of dreaming but have not yet reached the age of “settling down”. They are faced with overlapping “paths”, precarious with hundreds of tangled threads created by life itself.

Three modern women My Anh, Truc Lam and Chau Ngan, each have their own path, facing different challenges in marriage, career and love.

My Anh chose to stay behind to support her husband in developing his career. It seemed like a perfect marriage, but the distance gradually became clear when she realized that she was losing herself. Truc Lam once believed that marriage was the path to happiness. But when faced with her husband's indifference, the economic burden and interference from her biological mother, her life gradually became suffocating. Chau Ngan - a single, independent, rational girl, fell into crisis when she met Manh Truong, a charming and contradictory man.

Three men, none of whom are perfect, entered their lives like “crosswinds” that shook them but also helped them awaken. Love and marriage are not destinations, but journeys that require companionship, nurturing and understanding. “Sidewinds in the Blue Sky” is not just a love story, but a multi-layered picture of the psychology of modern women, when they dare to choose, dare to let go and most importantly - dare to live for themselves.

The film marks Phuong Oanh's return after 4 years, paired with Doan Quoc Dam - the duo who "caused nostalgia" in "Quynh Doll".
At the press conference to launch the film on July 31, actress Phuong Oanh expressed her joy at being able to play a suitable role. As a wife and mother, Phuong Oanh has the experience and depth to play the role of My Anh. However, the big challenge for the actress is to make the audience realize that it is My Anh and not Phuong Oanh. Doan Quoc Dam and Phuong Oanh promise to bring a sweet, profound and mature love story.

Quynh Kool and To Dung are paired for the first time, promising to bring contrasting nuances to the couple Lam - Toan. Viet Hoa, after "Doc Dao", returns as Chau Ngan, a strong and individualistic but not without a few injuries. In addition, the film features veteran artists such as Meritorious Artist Duc Khue, Tu Oanh and two potential newcomers Dennis Dang and Ha Thanh.

Regarding the pressure of Vietnamizing a previously famous film, director Le Do Ngoc Linh said that this is a project in which the entire crew has "given their best efforts" to create a new way of telling a story, rich in Vietnamese identity and close to domestic audiences. "Vietnamizing is not copying. The original is just the material that inspires us to restructure the story in our own way, creatively and in accordance with the Vietnamese context. I hope that when the audience watches the film, whether they have known the original or not, they will feel the freshness, pure Vietnamese and full of emotion," the director shared.
