Vietnamese badminton has 6 players participating in the 2025 world championship

VHO - According to information from the Vietnam Badminton Federation, the Badminton World Federation (BWF) has determined 6 slots for Vietnam to attend the 2025 Badminton World Championship from August 25 to 31 in France.

Accordingly, the 6 Vietnamese tennis players participating in this prestigious playground are: Nguyen Thuy Linh, Vu Thi Trang (women's singles), Nguyen Hai Dang, Le Duc Phat (men's singles), Tran Dinh Manh and Nguyen Dinh Hoang (men's doubles).

Thuy Linh will be the number 1 hope of Vietnamese badminton at the tournament.

Specifically in the women's singles, Vietnam has two players, Nguyen Thuy Linh and Vu Thi Trang. Of which, Thuy Linh is ranked 20th in the world .

Thuy Linh - Vietnam's number 1 tennis player has just competed in two important stages of the BWF World Tour Super 300 tournament in the US and Canada, in which the tennis player born in 1997 won the runner-up position in the women's singles tournament in Canada.

The 2025 World Championship will be an opportunity for Thuy Linh to affirm her name, aiming to conquer bigger milestones, bringing glory to Vietnamese badminton.

Notably, Vu Thi Trang - former number 1 female tennis player in Vietnam and wife of legend Nguyen Tien Minh - received a special invitation from BWF.

Although he has not played much recently, the tennis player born in 1992 still holds the No. 2 position in Vietnam and is a veteran with many international achievements.

In the men's singles event, the Vietnamese badminton team has two official spots at the tournament: Nguyen Hai Dang and Le Duc Phat.

These are also the two highest ranked male tennis players in Vietnam at the present time.

Meanwhile, BWF awarded a wildcard spot for the men's doubles at the 2025 World Championship to Tran Dinh Manh and Nguyen Dinh Hoang.

The impressive achievement of Tran Dinh Manh and Nguyen Dinh Hoang this year is the championship of Vietnam International Challenge 2025.

In the last time the Badminton World Championship was held (2023), the Vietnamese badminton team was only given 2 spots by BWF to participate: Thuy Linh and Hai Dang.

Vietnam's best badminton achievement at the world championship was Nguyen Tien Minh's bronze medal in men's singles in 2013.
