Despite their best efforts, the Vietnamese girls could not create any surprises.

At the first Regu (consisting of 3 people), the Vietnamese team lost 0-2 (5-15, 4-15). Then at the second Regu, coach Tran Thi Vui's students tried very hard but still lost 0-2 (7-15, 7-15).

In the whole match through 2 Regu, the Vietnamese team won the silver medal. This is also an impressive achievement of Tran Thi Hong Nhung and her teammates.

In addition to Regu, Vietnamese sepak takraw has won the right to participate in the finals of the 4-person women's team and 4-person men's team.

According to the schedule, the two 4-person team finals will take place on July 27, with the Vietnamese men's team meeting the Japanese men's team and the Vietnamese women's team meeting the Thai women's team.

The Vietnamese Sepak Takraw team with 23 athletes is competing in the 2025 Sepak Takraw World Championship.

This is considered the strongest force of the team and the athletes are determined to compete to achieve the best results in the following events: 4-person female team, 4-person male team, 4-person mixed team, Regu male, Regu female and Hoop (jumping the ball into the basket).

In particular, the 4-person women's team is expected to win a gold medal for Vietnam's sepak takraw. At the 2024 tournament, Vietnam's sepak takraw won 3 silver medals and 2 bronze medals.
