The yellow apricot tree has a base of nearly 1.4m, is 5m high, and has a canopy of up to 12m wide,… and is temporarily planted by the owner in a 70cm high pot. The apricot tree is being sold for 2 billion VND.
"I bought this yellow apricot tree from someone else so I don't know how old it is, but it is estimated to have been planted for about 50 years," said Mr. Duy (residing in Dong Thap province), the owner of the apricot tree.

According to Mr. Duy, because the mai tree has a rather large canopy, long-distance transportation is quite inconvenient. He had to hire a large rice boat to transport this mai tree from Dong Thap to Ca Mau.
According to many locals, this is the first time they have seen such a "huge" yellow apricot tree at the flower market in Ca Mau city.
