(Dan Tri) - Heavy rain and strong winds in Lam Dong caused an ancient banyan tree to fall onto the road, crushing a truck.
At around 5:30 p.m. on March 16, heavy rain and strong winds occurred in Phuoc Cat town, Da Huoai district, Lam Dong province. Two 15-meter-tall ancient banyan trees in residential group 5, Phuoc Cat town were blown down by the wind.
At the scene, one of the two banyan trees fell and hit a truck parked on the side of the road.
Authorities and local people cut down fallen trees and cleared the scene (Photo: Khanh Hong).
Upon receiving the news, the authorities were present and coordinated with local people to cut down trees and clear traffic.
At 6:40 p.m. the same day, the truck was hit by a tree and slightly damaged and was removed from the scene.
At the time the tree fell on the car, the driver was not in the cabin so he was not affected.
Heavy rain and strong winds swept through Phuoc Cat town that afternoon, causing many other trees on the roads to fall, affecting traffic.
