“In these days of mixed lotus flowers, finding a real bunch of lotus is already difficult, finding a hundred-leaf lotus is even more difficult. Yet this morning, I managed to ‘catch’ this mutant lotus – a white lotus with pink edges and double petals, extremely rare,” said Ms. Nhung.

The owner of a shop specializing in selling mutated lotus flowers in Hanoi said that this type of flower is extremely "hot". " Yesterday, I went to the lotus garden and imported about 200 flowers. I posted pictures of the flowers on Facebook to sell, but after just a few hours they were all sold out. Until now, people keep calling to ask but there are none to sell ," this person said.
Mutated lotus flowers are currently sold for about 10,000 - 20,000 VND/flower. Customers usually buy at least 10 flowers at a time.
Ms. Van Anh (Tay Ho, Hanoi) said: "Usually, each person will buy about 20 - 30 flowers at a time. Some people immediately ordered 40 - 50 flowers as soon as I posted the sale. Because this flower is so beautiful, customers like to arrange dozens of flowers at a time to admire it."
She said that at this time, because it is just the beginning of the season, there are few mutant lotuses, only a few places sell them and there are only 1-2 colors. In the main season, around the 7th lunar month, this type of flower is available.

“There are many types of mutated lotus. To distinguish them, mutated lotus are named as super lotus; rosy lotus; green apple lotus, green cloud lotus; new lanceolate lotus; pink lotus; versi color lotus... each type has different colors and characteristics but all are very beautiful and unique," she said.
