(GLO)- On the afternoon of July 19, at the headquarters of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee (facility 2, Pleiku ward), comrade Pham Anh Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting with representatives of leaders of a number of departments, branches and Bien Ho commune to listen to the report on the current status and general planning orientation of Bien Ho - Chu Dang Ya Tourist Area.

At the meeting, the representative of the Department of Construction reported an overview of the implementation of the planning task of Bien Ho - Chu Dang Ya Tourist Area, including: Location, boundary, scale; current status of construction and infrastructure; current status of administration, population, economic production, culture and society; natural conditions and landscapes and cultural characteristics.

Bien Ho-Chu Dang Ya tourist area is assessed to have many advantages for tourism development, especially eco-tourism and resort tourism. In addition, the representative of the Department of Construction also presented the planning idea with the vision and mission of "respecting the identity and enhancing the value of nature", "bringing vitality to the potential tourist land" and "connecting the central urban area to form a tourist complex".

Through a field survey and a preliminary report, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized: The Bien Ho - Chu Dang Ya area is a rare landscape area, with special value at the national and provincial levels. Therefore, the planning process needs to be implemented quickly but must ensure thoroughness, methodicalness, and harmony between conservation and development. The planning needs to be linked to the actual situation, with a long-term vision; focusing on investment in transport infrastructure and expanding the landscape protection area, aiming at sustainable development.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee noted that the basic zoning is clear, striving to select a capable consulting unit and suitable investors by August 15. In the immediate future, the Department of Construction is requested to coordinate with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the two Tourism Associations of Binh Dinh Province (old) and Gia Lai Province (old) to focus on improving some activities in Chu Dang Ya, and at the same time consider implementing an art program here to create attraction.
