Chula wants to have Vietnamese 'citizenship', International Fashion Week starts in Hanoi

Attending for the first time the Aquafina Vietnam international fashion week - Vietnam International Fashion Week Fall Winter 2024 taking place from November 13 to 16 at Quan Ngua Sports Palace (Hanoi), at the press conference on the evening of October 31 in Hanoi, Ms. Laura said that she and the Chula team felt very honored.

Ms. Laura said that although the fashion brand was founded and operated by her husband - a Spanish couple - both she and her late husband considered Chula a Vietnamese brand. Because Chula has now reached many places in the world , it was founded and developed in Vietnam, her family has lived in Hanoi for more than 20 years. Her whole family loves and is deeply attached to Vietnam, and their souls are greatly nourished thanks to being deeply rooted in the unique traditional culture of the country they have met, especially her husband - artist Diego Chula.

After Diego Chula suddenly passed away in October 2021, those who loved him and Chula fashion in Vietnam were worried that the brand would fade away because there was no longer a designer and "boss". But in the end, people saw that Laura and her children still chose to continue to stick with Vietnam and continue to develop the Chula fashion brand. "Vietnam gives me a lot of design inspiration for the Chula brand. So we can call Chula a Vietnamese brand with a Spanish heart or vice versa. We are very proud to be able to represent the two countries of Vietnam and Spain to participate in Aquafina Vietnam International Fashion Week Fall Winter 2024 .
