On the evening of August 1, Grab Vietnam and the Da Nang Culinary Culture Association announced a list of nearly 70 restaurants and eateries honored at the Da Nang Famous Restaurants Awards. This event also marked the first activity in the 3-year Memorandum of Understanding between Grab and the Da Nang Culinary Culture Association, aiming to promote local culture and tourism through cuisine.
Da Nang Famous Restaurants Award Ceremony - Honoring local culinary identity
After an evaluation process based on real data and expert consultation, nearly 70 typical businesses were selected and honored by Grab and the Da Nang Culinary Culture Association. The selection criteria were based on three main evaluation sources, including nominations from the association based on expert consultation, travel associations, and tourist surveys; feedback data from GrabFood users in 2024-2025, including orders, experience feedback, and user satisfaction; and compliance with each unit's operational and legal regulations.
Local restaurants and eateries were honored in the following three categories:
The “Famous Flavors” category honors 40 typical, long-standing, and unique eateries that are considered to represent the quintessence of local cuisine. Some notable names include My Quang 1A, Banh Xeo Ba Duong, Bi My Cho Con, Bun Cha Ca Ba Lu, Bun Bo Ba Roi, etc.
The “Most Favorite” category honors 12 restaurants and eateries that are highly rated by experts and the GrabFood user community through the quality of their food, service and overall experience at the point of sale and on the app. Notable restaurants include Trang Kitchen, Ngoc Chi Vegetarian Restaurant, Co Cao Kitchen, etc.
The “Growing Star” category recognizes 16 units with impressive growth rates, flexibility in operations and active innovation to adapt to market needs. Some notable representatives are Hai Coi restaurant, Banh Mi 365, Tuc Tac Tea,...

Mr. Ly Dinh Quan, Chairman of the Da Nang Culinary Culture Association, shared: “Today, we are not only honoring 68 famous eateries and restaurants, but also honoring the quintessence, passion and identity of Da Nang cuisine. Each dish is a story, each restaurant is a living heritage. From the heart of the cook to the heart of the diner, cuisine is the messenger connecting the culture, emotions and pride of this livable city.”
According to Mr. Ly Dinh Quan, the Da Nang Culinary Culture Association is a bridge, a fire-lighter and accompanies eateries and restaurants in the mission of preserving, enhancing and spreading the value of local culinary culture. The Association believes that when the values of identity are properly aroused and inspired, cuisine not only creates reputation, but also creates opportunities, development and pride for the whole community.

Speaking at the event, Ms. Dang Thuy Trang, External Relations Director of Grab Vietnam, shared: “Cuisine is an indispensable part of the travel experience. With the initiative Famous Restaurants in Da Nang, we are honored to accompany the Da Nang Culinary Culture Association to honor typical restaurants and eateries that are contributing to preserving and spreading local culture. Grab is proud to be the bridge to bring the famous flavors of Da Nang closer to the people and tourists at home and abroad through its technology platform.”
Series of initiatives to promote Da Nang tourism and cuisine from Grab
In addition to the Da Nang Famous Restaurant Awards ceremony, Grab has previously implemented many initiatives to enhance visitors' travel experiences.
At Da Nang International Airport, Grab launched the Grab Information Counter in April to help travelers book transportation services from the airport to the city center and explore other locations. The Grab Information Counter also provides many other utilities such as registering for Grab travel packages exclusively for tourists, a list of local restaurants that are GrabFood restaurant partners, phone charging, free mineral water, etc.

In addition, from 2023 to present, Grab has installed 135 “Find me here” benches along the coast and parks of Da Nang, along with 5 Non La Stations on Bach Dang walking street - each location is located on the Grab application, helping visitors easily locate to book a ride or receive food. Each bench has a QR code leading to a list of delicious restaurants nearby, providing a more convenient and enjoyable culinary discovery experience for visitors.
