The time when Terminal T3 comes into operation also coincides with the occasion towards the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), further highlighting the symbolic value of the image of the Lac Bird - representing the aspiration to fly high, reach far and the eternal spirit of the Vietnamese people.

At the inauguration event, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietnam Airlines Dang Ngoc Hoa shared: “The official opening of Terminal T3 is a big step forward in the process of modernizing aviation infrastructure. Also on this occasion, Vietnam Airlines officially opened the new Lotus Lounge at Terminal T3. Located on the 4th floor with an area of 330m², the lounge offers a luxurious and comfortable space for Business Class passengers, high-class Golden Lotus members, VIP guests and other priority groups.

From 0:00 on April 19, Vietnam Airlines flights between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City have been transferred to Terminal T3. It is expected that by April 28, the airline's entire domestic flight network will have completed the transition to the new terminal, except for flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Con Dao, Rach Gia, and Ca Mau, which will continue to operate at Terminal T1 as they are currently.
