These days, the news that the top star of the Vietnamese volleyball team, Tran Thi Thanh Thuy, will soon leave the Kuzeyboru Club (Türkiye), has attracted the attention of many fans.
Most recently, on November 9, Thanh Thuy was not on the list of registered players for Kuzeyboru Club in the 8th round of the Turkish National Volleyball Championship, even though a few days before she played in the European Volleyball Cup, even scoring the winning goal for the club against Dinamo Zagreb (Croatia).
Tran Thi Thanh Thuy is likely to leave Kuzeyboru Club.
Immediately after that, Fanclub (FC) Tran Thi Thanh Thuy shared: “After a period of training and competing with Kuzeyboru Club, due to not achieving good form after injury, Thanh Thuy and the Club have decided to terminate the contract. Our girl will return to Vietnam in the near future”.
Speaking to Thanh Nien today, Mr. Phan Hung Cuong - Director of Binh Dien Long An Sports Company (the management unit of VTV Binh Dien Long An Club) where athlete Tran Thi Thanh Thuy is managed said: "Thanh Thuy's parting with Kuzeyboru Club is not official. However, according to my understanding, the head coach of this club wants to return Thanh Thuy and the relevant parties are still working before making a final decision."
Tran Thi Thanh Thuy has not been in good form after the injury.
It is known that Thanh Thuy's contract at Kuzeyboru Club lasts for 1 season (10 months) and will end in May 2025. Thanh Thuy left for Türkiye last September and was registered by Kuzeyboru in the official list of 14 players participating in the Turkish National Women's Volleyball Championship. In the 8th round, this club only registered 13 athletes without Thanh Thuy's name.
If she returns to Vietnam this time, Tran Thi Thanh Thuy will not be able to play for VTV Binh Dien Long An Club to compete in the second phase and the final round of the national volleyball championship taking place in Lao Cai because the registration period has expired. To fill Thanh Thuy's void, VTV Binh Dien Long An Club must recruit foreign player of German origin Joyce Agbolossou in addition to the return of veteran hitter Ngoc Hoa. Currently, VTV Binh Dien Long An Club is ranked second but will compete fiercely with other teams with strong investments such as Thanh Hoa Club, Duc Giang Chemical Club, LPBank Ninh Binh Club, Information Corps Club, etc.
