A total of 1,932 football-related arrests were recorded across the top six divisions of England and Wales in the 2024-25 season, the Home Office said. That was down 11% on the previous season, with 235 fewer incidents reported.

Man United top the list with 121 arrests. Most of the arrests took place during matches at their home ground Old Trafford.

"Forty-nine per cent of arrests of Man United fans occurred at home matches at Old Trafford, with 34 of those related to public disorder or violent conduct," the report said.

In second place is Man City with 94 people arrested, West Ham United in third place with 77 people arrested. The next positions are Chelsea (76 people), Aston Villa (71), Everton (56), Liverpool (45), Arsenal (42)...

The most common type of arrest was for public disorder (32%), followed by violent disorder (22%) and possession of class A drugs (19%).

The report also noted an overall increase in the number of bans. As of 1 June 2025, 2,435 fans were banned from entering stadiums in England and Wales, up 12% from the same period in 2024. This is also the highest number since the 2012-13 season.

In this category, West Ham had the most banned fans with 112, 19 more than in the 2024 season. Man United were second with 108. Chelsea - who were eighth on the list last season with 54 banned fans - moved up to third with 80 banned fans.
