Should children use heaters in cold weather?

VnExpressVnExpress17/11/2023

When it is cold, families can use a heater in the bathroom or bedroom to keep children from getting cold. However, heaters and heaters often cause a stuffy feeling, difficulty breathing, and even dry skin and heat burns.

Parents should choose products that are safe in terms of materials and installation. If your family is more economical , you can use an infrared heater for your baby in the bathroom, or use a two-way air conditioner instead of using other devices such as a fan heater or heater.

When using a fan heater, parents should not turn the fan on and off too suddenly. The fan should be placed in a stable place, not near the bed, curtains, or nets. To avoid dry skin, parents can apply moisturizer to their children.

In case of accidental burns, cool the wound by soaking or placing it under clean running water. Then, cover it gently with a clean bandage to avoid scratching or eroding the burn, reducing the risk of infection. After that, the family needs to take the patient to a medical facility for emergency treatment.

Absolutely do not use a charcoal stove because CO gas can cause poisoning and suffocation.
