Announcing the quality rankings of 162 hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City

Ho Chi Minh City has 12/162 hospitals scoring over 900 points on a 1,000-point scale based on criteria such as: satisfaction, emergency care, and document response.

On July 23, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health announced the results of the 2024 hospital quality inspection and assessment, including a total of 162 hospitals, including both public and private hospitals.

Accordingly, each hospital is evaluated for its content and is given a maximum total score of 1,000 with 6 content groups including:

Information and data on hospital operations; hospital quality assessment; patient and medical staff satisfaction survey; inspection of emergency and intensive care work; inspection of the implementation of urgent directives of the Government and the Ministry of Health ; inspection of responses to some documents serving management work.

When calculated on a 1,000-point scale with 6 groups of assessment content, in 2024, the city has 12 hospitals achieving over 900 points: leading is Binh Dan Hospital with 964.1 points, followed by Gia Dinh People's Hospital (963.5 points), Tam Anh General Hospital (962.5 points),

City Children's Hospital (956.1 points), and Hung Vuong Hospital (954.9 points), Children's Hospital 1 (947.1 points),

People's Hospital 115 (936.2 points), Thu Duc City Hospital (928.3 points),

Tropical Diseases Hospital (907.3 points), Oncology Hospital (906.82 points), Vinmec Central Park International General Hospital (906.5 points) and Hoan My Saigon General Hospital (902.8 points).

In addition, the satisfaction survey continued to reflect a clear improvement trend: 98.4% of outpatients and 99.2% of inpatients were satisfied with the service, while the satisfaction rate of medical staff reached 93.8%, an increase of nearly 4% compared to 2023.

The Department of Health believes that publicizing quality assessment results not only helps hospitals clearly identify their position in the health system, thereby proactively developing appropriate improvement strategies, but is also an important basis for emulation and reward work.

At the same time, this is also a testament to the city's health sector's commitment to improving transparency in the quality of health services for the people.
