Pepper price forecast on May 28, 2024, due to scarce supply, the price of this agricultural product is expected to remain at 119,000 - 120,000 VND/kg.

In recent years, pepper prices have remained low for a long time, causing a decrease in acreage, which is one of the main reasons for the recent increase in pepper prices. In addition, there is also the impact of the dry weather in April in the Central Highlands.

In addition, the shortage of empty containers has pushed up sea freight rates by an average of 30% in recent weeks and is expected to continue to increase, making the prices of agricultural products, including pepper, more expensive.

In Vietnam, the pepper harvest has ended. The dry and hot weather since December has been favorable for harvesting and drying this product. This has also improved the quality of pepper products.
