Previously, at noon on November 20, Ms. THC (62 years old, living in Ward 1, Bac Lieu City) was hospitalized in a state of drowsiness, restlessness, labored breathing, nausea, and body swelling with pain. According to her family, while cleaning the grass near her house, Ms. C. was stung more than 50 times by wasps on her body.

Through examination, the doctor determined that the patient had a grade 2 anaphylactic reaction due to a bee sting, leading to respiratory failure, multiple organ damage, and severe blood clotting disorder. The patient was treated with intensive internal medicine and continuous blood filtration to eliminate toxins.

After 24 hours of continuous blood filtration and active medical treatment, the patient's health improved significantly. The pain and swelling from the bee stings decreased, vital signs stabilized, and the patient's multiple organ damage and blood clotting disorder were controlled. The patient was alert, able to eat and talk normally, and was expected to be discharged after 7 days of treatment.

According to Dr. Nguyen Van Huong, Deputy Head of the Department of Emergency Resuscitation, Thanh Vu Medic Bac Lieu General Hospital, bee stings are one of the common accidents that occur in labor and production, especially in places with many trees and bushes around.

Doctor Huong recommends that people should never take bee stings lightly, because bee venom, when accumulated in the body, can lead to multiple organ failure and endanger life.

When stung by a bee and experiencing symptoms such as: severe pain, swelling of the whole body, drowsiness, difficulty breathing, nausea, blood in the urine... immediately call an ambulance or quickly take the victim to a medical facility for timely diagnosis and treatment.
