A man was stabbed with a 1.2 meter long iron bar through his neck and chin and was saved by surgery by doctors at the Vietnam - Cuba Friendship Hospital in Dong Hoi.


On January 9, the leader of the Vietnam - Cuba Friendship Hospital in Dong Hoi ( Quang Binh ) said that he had just received a patient who had a 1.2 meter long iron bar pierced through his chin and neck.

The patient when admitted to the hospital

Early this morning, CDB (18 years old, in Minh Hoa District, Quang Binh) was taken to the hospital in critical condition due to a 1.2 m long iron bar piercing through his chin and neck.

Initial investigation determined that CDB was involved in a local brawl.

After being admitted, the patient was taken into surgery. In the morning, the surgery was performed successfully. The patient is currently having a tracheostomy and is being monitored and cared for at the hospital's Department of Dentistry and Maxillofacial Surgery.
