On the morning of July 15, Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc Club announced the 4th new contract for the 2025-2026 season, center back Tran Quang Thinh.

Quang Thinh was once the leader of the defense of the Vietnam U23 team that won the 2022 Southeast Asian U23 Championship in Cambodia. But since then, this 1m79 tall center back has not developed as successfully as expected.

Wearing the Nam Dinh Club shirt in V-League 2024-2025, Quang Thinh only came on as a substitute in 2 matches. And the departure of this 24-year-old central defender is inevitable.

Joining Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc Club to compete in the 2025-2026 First Division, Quang Thinh will have more opportunities to compete. Meanwhile, Quang Thinh's presence also helps the Southeast team have a more solid defense, thereby continuing to achieve the goal of promotion.

In the 2024-2025 First Division, Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc Club made history by winning the runner-up position and a place in the play-off match for promotion.

However, coach Huynh Quoc Anh's team lost 0-2 toSHB Da Nang Club in the play-off match at Thong Nhat Stadium at the end of June.

Previously, Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc Club announced 3 new players: midfielder Luong Xuan Truong (30 years old), defender Duong Van Khoa (31 years old) and Tran Trong Hieu (29 years old).

In the coming days, the team will continue to announce new contracts such as Minh Vuong, Le Van Son (Hoang Anh Gia Lai), Thanh Thao (HCMC) and head coach Nguyen Viet Thang.

Will Binh Phuoc School Club change its name?

Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc Club is expected to merge with Dong Nai Club and change its name to Truong Tuoi Dong Nai Club to compete in the 2025-2026 First Division. The team will also play at Dong Nai Stadium instead of Binh Phuoc Stadium - which will be used for the Football Academy to train young players.

Thus, the 2025-2026 First Division will lose a team after merging Binh Phuoc province into Dong Nai.
